What is Myo?
Physical therapy for your mouth.
Myo, also known as Oromyofunctional Therapy, retrains the muscles of the mouth, tongue, and face — addressing the root causes of breathing, sleep, speech, and structural concerns.
What are Oromyofunctional Disorders?
Oromyofunctional disorders (OMDs) are dysfunctions in the mouth and facial muscles affecting tongue position, swallowing, breathing, and jaw alignment. They can impact oral health, speech, and facial development, and may occur from birth or develop over time.
Myofunctional therapy works by establishing correct rest posture for the tongue, normalizing swallowing patterns, and training nasal breathing — giving the body a foundation for long-term health.
